Two days back I made lemon pickle for the first time. It looks very yummy, with lots of oil in it like a real pickle.
But, when I tasted it I found that it tastes slightly bitter I wonder why? I made exactly the way recipe goes. Now I can't blame any one as I took the recipe from the net.
I don't know whom to ask that what went wrong. May be the best person I can consult is my mom. Hope she can help me out.

hey orbi (hows that for a nick?)dats was quite a cute posting, reminded me of russell bond's writing....well see, im no big deal in cooking, but i have heard that if u r making any thing to do with lemon without peeling it off....u jag it with a needle and soak it with salt over nite...wash d lemons in the morning and then go ahead with ur recipe...As I said, im no big deal in cooking, so basically i dont know much, try it if it sounds ok. And yes, as srvani said...lemon pickles are supposed to be slightly bitter, it adds on to its interesting taste. Aleena's posting and her pic was explosive. she's wow. touch wood. bless her.
